Here you will find every cookie this site uses, what it is for and how long it lasts. You can change your decision at any time, including right here.
A cookie is a small text file that a site stores in your browser and reads again on your next visit. It lets the site remember, for example, that you have already decided about cookies, so it does not ask again.
The same rules apply to technologies that use no cookie but still store or read data on your device, such as local browser storage and similar tools.
Storing data on your device is governed by the Electronic Communications Act.
The wording of the provision
"Anyone who stores information on a user's terminal equipment, or gains access to information stored there, may do so only where the user has given demonstrable consent meeting the requirements of a special regulation. [...] This does not prevent technical storage of or access to data for the sole purpose of transmitting a communication over a network or facilitating such transmission, or where it is strictly necessary for a provider of an information society service to provide the service explicitly requested by the user." (unofficial translation)Section 109(8) of Act No. 452/2021 Coll. on electronic communications
What consent has to look like is set by the GDPR: it must be freely given, specific, informed and unambiguous. Five rules follow from that, and we keep to them on this site.
These keep the basic functions of the site working. They remember your cookie decision and protect the forms against automated abuse. Without them we would ask you about cookies on every click. We set them under the exemption in the provision quoted above, so without consent, and they cannot be switched off.
These show us which pages people read, where they come from and where they leave. That tells us which parts of the site are useful and which need rewriting. We set them only after you consent, and without it they do not run.
This category would measure how well advertising campaigns work and reach visitors away from this site. We do not use it at present and it therefore does not appear in the consent dialogue. If we introduce it later, we will add it to this list and ask for consent again.
The overview below reflects the position on the date this document takes effect. If the list grows, we will update this document too.
| Name | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|
| vendinvest-cookie-consent | Holds your cookie decision so that we do not ask again and can demonstrate the consent. It is set by this site itself. | 12 months |
| Name | Provider and purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|
| _ga | Google Analytics 4. Tells visitors apart using a random identifier. | 2 years |
| _ga_<ID> | Google Analytics 4. Keeps the session state for a particular measurement. | 2 years |
| _clck | Microsoft Clarity. Ties behaviour data to a single browser identifier. | 1 year |
| _clsk | Microsoft Clarity. Groups individual page views into one session. | 1 day |
A note on lifetimes
The lifetimes above are set by the tool providers and can change without any action on our part. You can check the current lifetime of any given file in your browser, in the settings for this site.
Your decision is not final. There are two ways to change it.
A changed decision takes effect immediately. Cookies that were already set can be removed in your browser, as described below.
You can manage cookies away from this site as well. Your browser can show them, delete them or block them across the board. Blocking all cookies may limit how this site and others work.
If you delete the file holding our record of your consent, the site will ask again on your next visit. That is what the rules expect, not a fault.
